After completing his Bachelor of Arts at Acadia University, Aodhan obtained his law degree from the University of New Brunswick, earning the Barry Morrison Prize in Legal Writing.
During his time in school, Aodhan was involved in the S.M.I.L.E. program. He has held positions on the Acadia Students' Union, the Law Students' Society, and the UNB Student Union. He has also chaired sub-committees promoting student advocacy, and organized the first-ever hybrid Law School Orientation during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Aodhan is also currently a candidate for the Halifax Regional Council in the downtown area.
After obtaining his J.D., Aodhan returned to Nova Scotia. In his free time, Aodhan enjoys CrossFit, skiing, and walks at Point Pleasant Park with his Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever, Scout.
